About Us

Our Story

The nursery was established in 2013 by Janine Deans and Joanne Pritchard who have over 25 years’ experience specialising in childcare and community work. As parents ourselves we appreciate your trust in placing your child in our care. 

Janine and Joanne have worked in the private, voluntary and charitable sectors of childcare and education and have completed Leadership and Management awards. They have a wealth of knowledge, experience and are qualified NNEB practitioners. Nursery successfully achieved a Maths Gold Award and have Communication Friendly Status.

We employ a team of highly qualified passionate staff. All staff hold enhanced DBS checks and complete continuous professional development training. Along with our team we create a close knit enabling environment to provide high quality childcare.

Nursery

We are open Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm open 50 weeks per year. 

Based at Community Family Services Childcare Centre, BNENC, Breckfield Road North, L5 4QT

Longmoor Breakfast & Afterschool Club

We are open Monday – Friday

Breakfast: 07:45am – 08:45am

After School: 3:30pm – 6:00pm

(Term time only)

Longmoor Primary School, Hall Lane, L9 0EU.

Greenbank Breakfast & Afterschool Club

We are open Monday – Friday

Breakfast: 07:45am – 08:45am

After School: 3:15pm – 6:00pm

(Term time only)

Greenbank Primary School, Mossley Avenue, L18 1JB.

Outreach Crèche

Opening times may vary.

Creche services are available upon request at different locations across the city.

St Johns Afterschool Club

We are open Monday-Friday 03:15pm - 06:00pm throughout 38 weeks per year during term time only.

St Johns Catholic Primary School, Fountains Road, L4 1UN

Training

We offer childcare apprenticeships, voluntary opportunities and student placements.

Our son attended Community Family Services in Anfield for almost four years and thrived. He started just after his first birthday and left in August to start school. He made lovely friendships and genuinely loved coming in every day. The staff have been amazing with him, caring, patient, and always noticing and celebrating the little things that make him who he is. We’re so grateful for the start they’ve given him and how they have supported the happy confident little boy he has become. 

 

I am pregnant again and already feel reassured about the idea of going back to work after maternity leave, knowing I can whole heartedly trust this nursery will care and support the baby as well as they have Cillian.

I would say Jacob had the best time during his two years at Community Family Services Childcare Centre. 

He developed so much, becoming a very confident little boy, and the nursery were a huge part in that. Especially nurturing him and helping him to reach his milestones such as seeing his speech develop, learning his alphabet and numbers, and helping him become more independent with things such as using the toilet and cleaning up the table after he has finished eating. 

He loved going in every day, seeing his friends and all the lovely staff team there and came home every day bouncing out of the door telling us how much fun he’d had.

Our staff have free onsite parking with childcare discounts and benefits. Staff are given well being days in addition to their 28 days annual leave with bank holidays included.
